Youth Design Summit 2026

Designed for young aspiring designers, ages 7-17, who want to explore the world of fashion design while learning alongside peers in their age group. Join us for a 10-day immersive experience in sewing and design. This program is designed to introduce you to collegiate-level fashion design study and future careers offered in our 7-Month Fashion Design Training Program.

This program will be held: June 8-19, 2026, and July 6-17, 2026.

You only need to attend one program session. Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM.

Skills Learned

By the end of the 10-day experience, students will gain foundational sewing skills to design and construct a finished garment.

Eligibility

Prior sewing experience is not necessary to enroll. We will teach you everything you need to know to excel in the program.

What’s Included

We provide the equipment, fabrics, supplies, and lunch — you bring the creativity! Each day is a new fashion design topic.

Stacie Cooley

With 10+ years in the fashion industry and a background in fashion design from Savannah College of Art and Design, Stacie creates confident, tailored looks for women of all sizes contributing to size-inclusive fashion. Stacie has developed an arsenal of skills, tips and tricks for sewing and pattern design to share with the next generation of designers.

Ashlee McDaniel

With 20+ years of experience across fashion design, merchandising, and textile art, Ashlee bridges creative design with commercial strategy. A graduate of both Alabama A&M University and Kennesaw State University, Ashlee uses textiles as an artistic medium and her corporate experience as a Fashion Buyer for Fortune100 companies to shape well-rounded, industry-ready designers.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Classes are open to parents or guardians who wish to remain in the Studio during program hours.

  • The program runs Monday through Friday, from July 7, 2025 to August 1, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM EDT. Students may enter the Studio as early as 8:30 AM EDT.

  • This program is designed for kids ages 8 to 13 years old.

  • Yes, each student will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program to celebrate their creativity, effort, and new skills in fashion design!

  • The full 4-week program is $1,200 — and that includes all supplies and lunch! (You may bring your own lunch and store in our kitchen.)

  • Due to the limited class size, securing a spot means another student may be turned away. All payments are nonrefundable, so please be sure you can attend before enrolling.

  • Students will learn sewing and design principles through fun daily projects, culminating in a mini showcase to celebrate their creativity and hard work!

  • Our class size is limited to 12 students, with 3 dedicated Fashion Design Instructors. This small-group setting allows for plenty of 1-on-1 assistance, hands-on learning, and project completion at each student’s learning pace.

  • Yes! Our Studio is wheelchair accessible, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.

  • Absolutely! We welcome parents or guardians to stay in the Studio or simply drop off and pick up.

  • We provide all equipment, materials and tools. Light refreshments are provided. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch and store in our kitchen.

  • We are walking distance (3 minutes) from the Arts Station Marta Station, and conveniently located near affordable parking garages, making drop-off and pick-up easy for commuting parents and guardians.

  • If you love the experience at our Youth Designer Summer Program, you can continue learning through our new 3-month Youth Fashion Design Training Program beginning in Spring 2026.
