Fashion Design Society at Hampton High School
SELF Academy, a top fashion school backed by Georgia State University, is bringing sewing education to Hampton High School. The Fashion Design Society is a new after-school enrichment program, developed by SELF Academy, where students (grades 9-12) learn fashion design from concept to creation in a well-equipped sewing studio. Students develop technical sewing skills, explore fashion illustration, create original garments, build a portfolio, attend fun field trips, and participate in fun community events. Sewing experience is not required — just a willingness to learn. Only 50 students will be selected to become the inaugural founding members. Fashion Design Society officially begins in Fall 2026. Membership Dues
Membership dues directly support the operation of the Fashion Design Society and help provide students with a high-quality, hands-on learning experience. Dues are $290 for the 2026-2027 school year and must be paid by Thursday, October 22, 2026. The after-school fashion design program is open to students in grades 9-12, regardless of experience level. Whether you’re interested in fashion design, entrepreneurship, art, theater, costume design, photography, or simply want to learn a new creative skill, you will find a place here.
